Music should be FREE! In this age, the emphasis is profit and not artistic out put. Reasons why art is dying is because money is killing it. Price Tags should not be given to music, music is meant to be shared.
The government is obviously on the side of these big corporations. Lobbyist spend years getting them on their side. So what are normal people who want free music turn too? "Illegal File Sharing" People are being pushed to the black market of music, because it cost to damn much to buy a CD or pay i-tunes.
Many so called artist like Metallic have lost their minds siding with the big record companies. Are they really trying to put people in jail for wanting to listen to thier favorite song. Fans dedicate their lives to the promotion of these artist, and you want to sue them or put them in jail.
They say it's stealing. But hell if i could i would steal from all these big companies i would, because they just want to make money out of me.
I think little independent artist who realize that they could make a profit by just giving their music away and letting the their music take care of them, have got it down.
Not only is the record industry trying to stop p2p sharing they also want to put a hold on the technology that is being developed to make p2p more accommodating.
I believe that music should be free. They are made to be listened to. Companies dont have the right to say that they are being exploited by people who just want to listen to thier jams. Big companies are the ones trying to exploit 'the people',
